Central Driving School Services
Students under the age of 18 who are ready to start learning to drive are eligible to take a Segment 1 class. The driver education class is offered before the driver begins home supervised driving.
Segment 1 includes 24 hours of classroom, six driving hours, and a minimum of four hours of observation time in a training vehicle. This course is available to teens who are 14 years and 8 months of age on or before the FIRST DAY OF CLASS and must also have parent/guardian permission to take the course.
Classes with less than 10 registered student may be cancelled or rescheduled.
Students who have held a valid Level 1 License for at least three consecutive months and have acquired at least 30 hours of driving experience time (including two hours of night driving) are eligible to take the Segment 2 course. Segment 2 consists of six hours of classroom instruction.
Students who have held a valid Level 1 License for at least six consecutive months, have acquired at least 50 hours of supervised driving time (including ten hours of night driving), and have completed a Segment 2 course are eligible to take the road test.
